- Owl flies out of shadows, into the daylight
- Posted May 5, 2011 midnight
- Owls are usually fly-by-night operators, but this brown and white one came out in the bright sunlight on Wednesday afternoon. This bird, possibly a young barn owl, perched on a service drop behind a Ford City house for a while, then headed for the shade of a pine tree before moving on. Owl sightings are common at night, even in town, but daytime sighting are rare.
