- A big night for Taft at Kern COG Regional Awards

- Bob Hampton, Ken McMinn and the City of Taft were honored Thursday night with Regional Awards of Merit. Hampton was given the Darrel Hildebrand Award for his ongoing efforts to clean up the Taft area, McMinn the Ron Brummett Lifetime Achievement Award for his long career in public service and Taft was recognized for its general plan.
