Deputies find nearly one-half ounce of meth in home

A South Taft man was arrested by Kern County Sheriff’s deputies on drug dealing charges after a search of his home Sunday night led to the discovery of nearly a half-ounce of methamphetamine and several syringes.
Senior Deputy Josh Nance said deputies received reports from neighbors of possible illegal activity at a residence at 428 Montview.
The resident of the house, Brandon Turner, 24, was on probation and subject to search, Nance said.
When deputies searched the home, they found 11.8 grams of methamphetamine stored in the kitchen and a plastic bottle with syringes in a bedroom.
Turner was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of paraphernalia.
