Ever since the beginning of the season, the Lincoln seventh grade boys basketball team has been flying high. Nothing changed Thursday afternoon when the Lions handed the Sunset Rockets a 24-10 loss in Taft.

Ever since the beginning of the season, the Lincoln seventh grade boys basketball team has been flying high. Nothing changed Thursday afternoon when the Lions handed the Sunset Rockets a 24-10 loss in Taft.


Danny Romo led the charge by scoring 11 points while Bowe Cleveland chipped in with 9. Eddie Romo and Paul Valencia followed by adding two points.


On the rebounding side, Cleveland had 4 rebounds while Kyle Jameson and Valencia each had 3. Eddie Romo had 2 while Danny Romo, Christian Hoffman, Jacob Day and James Brummett each had 1.


Danny Romo led Lincoln in steals with 5 while Jameson and Valencia both had 1.


Romo also had the most assists in the game with 2. Jameson and Eddie Romo each chipped in with 1.


After playing Monday, the Lions close out their regular season Tuesday when they host Haven Drvie. The first game starts at 3:30 p.m.
