Taft Chevrolet Buick Pontiac has added a new member to the team, but he’s familiar to just about everyone. Mack Wimbish is now the field sales manager for the new and used car dealership.
General Manager Devinder Singh Bains turned to Wimbish to help out during a tough period for the American Automobile industry.
“Since Mack has been a close friend of the Bains family, I asked him to help out,” Bains said.
In his role as field manager, Wimbish will be meeting with people in the Taft area and around Kern County to bring car buyers and more business to Taft.
Wimbish, who first became familiar to people as the public affairs officer for the California Highway Patrol and later as Kern County Sheriff, is looking forward to his new position.
“I was really interested in this job,” Wimbish said. I’m going to get out and tell people about Taft Chevrolet. My job is to bring in people from other parts of the county to take a look at Taft Chevrolet.”
Wimbish joins another new but familiar face at Taft Chevrolet.
Larry Smith came to the dealership recently. Smith’s specialty is working with credit challenged customers.
“ With the addition of Mr. Smith and Mr. Wimbish, we are looking good to survive this storm,” Bains said.
