Woman found unrepsonsive, later said she was attacked
Kern County Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating a reported attack on a young woman in an apartment on Adams Street last week.
Deputies, firefighters, and paramedics were called to 335 Adams Thursday afternoon after a man called 911 to say he found his wife dead in heir apartment when he came home from work.
The woman, age 18, wasn’t dead, but was semiconscious and unresponsive.
The victim was fully clothed and had no visible injuries when she was found, according to officers at the scene.
She later told deputies she went to walk out of her apartment and was confronted by a man who pushed her back into the apartment and tied her hands and legs with bandanas, Senior Deputy Josh Nance said.
Deputies are still conducting interviews in the case, Nance said.
