Two SUVs, sedan collide: Injuries said to be minor
Three people, including two small children, were injured in a three-car collision at Ash and Harrison streets Tuesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol officer Adam Taylor said a sport utility vehicle was eastbound on Ash at Harrison when it drove into the path of a compact sedan going north on Sixth.
The sedan struck the SUV broadside and after the impact the first SUV collided head-on with a second SUV stopped in the westbound lane of Ash on the east side of the intersection.
The driver of the sedan, a young woman, and two small children in the SUV that drove into the path of the sedan suffered minor injuries, Taylor said.
They were taken from the scene by ambulance.
The mother of the two small children also went to the hospital, although she apparently escaped injury.
The names of the people involved were not immediately available.
The occupants of the second car SUV on the east side of the intersection were not injured.
