Victim was from Alabama

 The man killed on Highway 119 Thursday morning has identified the a supervisor for PGS Onshore, the firm working on a detailed seismic study for Occidental of Elk Hills, family and friends said.

He was from Alabama.

However, the name has not been officially released by the Kern County Sheriff-Coroner or by the California Highway Patrol, so it is  not being published  by taftmidwaydriller.com.

The victim was driving westbound on Highway 119 over Interstate 5 just after 8 p.m. when his truck crashed into the rear trailer of a truck making a left turn to go eastbound onto Highway 119.
The produce truck driver was not injured.

There was heavy fog in the area of the crash and both fog and speed are possible collision factors, the CHP said.
