Victim identified through dental records

 


The Kern County Sheriff-Coroner has released the name of the man killed in the Feb. 18 crash on Highway 119 overpass above I-5.


He was identified as Michael Peter Hancock, 53, of Theodore, Ala.


Hancock was positively identified through dental records on Monday.


He was driving west on Highway 119 over the interstate when his truck crashed into the rear of a produce trailer that was turning left onto the two-lane highway.


He was killed instantly.


Hancock was a supervisor for PGS Onshore, the firm working on a seismic study for Occidental of Elk Hills.
