A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. for Taft resident, Thelma Loretta Beshears, 96. Rev. Tom White, pastor of Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate. Mrs. Beshears was born in Springfield, Missouri on February 20, 1914 to Albert and Grace (Fulton) Kinser and passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on February 21, 2010. She attended Kinser school and graduated from Central High School in Springfield, MO. In 1938 she married Wesley Beshears and moved to Taft where she was a resident for 71 years. Wesley and Thelma loved golfing, traveling and fishing. They owned Kelsay Market in Taft for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wesley, and a brother, Clifford Kinser. She is survived by her niece and her husband, Patricia and Charles Dunn; nephew and his wife, Clifford and Billie Kinser all of Springfield, MO; two great nephews, Jay Kinser and Wesley Dunn; great niece, Terri Bartell; and devoted friend, Paul Kelsay.
