Community Christian hosting musical event Sunday with potluck

The California Medley Boys will be performing at Community Christian

Fellowship 700 North Street, this Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The concert is free and open to the public.

There will be a potluck and fellowship following the concert.

California Melody Boys was formed in February of 2003. The group transformed into a trio after just a short period of time and have since become a well

recognized part of the southern gospel music family on the west coast.

Shortly after their formation, CMB became dedicated members of the Central

California Southern Gospel Music Association and the Western States Gospel

Music Association.

Not long after their induction into those organizations they have been regular participants of the Great Western Southern Gospel Fan Festival.

CMB focuses on delivery of the gospel of Jesus Christ through southern

style harmonies. They’re proud of the southern gospel music heritage and

continue to help promote, preserve, and develop the style throughout the Western Region of the United States.

To continue in that fashion, the California Medley Boys hold their own annual concert and dessert event, which has grown to over 500 people annually and is still growing.

Founder and owner Larry Martin still has a vision to see their annual event become one of the largest southern gospel music events west of the Mississippi.

Current members are Ken Hurley (piano and vocals), Daymon

Qualls (baritone), John Harness (tenor), and Larry Martin (lead).
