Barbecue, plant sale, blacksmith demonstration and gas engine show will be featured under the big wooden derrick
The West Kern Oil Museum will hold its annual Pioneer Days commemoration on Saturday.
The event will feature a barbecue, gas engine show, working blacksmith shop, raffle and plant sale.
All museum exhibits will be open.
There is no admission charge.
The cost of the barbecue is $10, and serving begins at 11:30 a.m. The meal includes drinks and homemade desserts.
Gates open at 10 a.m.
The museum – the Westside’s top tourist attraction – is located at Wood Street and Highway 33. Just look for the big wooden derrick.
