Geraldine Marie Bullock Renfro, 79, was born in Ventura, California on February 20, 1931 and passed away on May 23, 2010 in Gilbert, Arizona. Taft became her home as a young girl, and she was a member of Taft Union High School’s graduating class of 1949. In 1954, Geraldine married Ralph J. Renfro, and they raised seven children. She was chosen as Taft’s Mother of the Year in 1974. Geraldine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served two church missions, one in South Carolina, and the other in Florida. She enjoyed sharing her artistic talents and passion for genealogy at church and in the local schools and community organizations. In 1995, Geraldine moved to Arizona to be close to her grandchildren and an LDS temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her son, Patrick Renfro, and her daughter, Ann Marie Hamblin. She is survived by five children: Tim Renfro of Mesa, AZ, Sharon Todd of Placentia, CA, Susan Butterfield of Gilbert, AZ, Andrew Renfro of Phoenix, AZ, and Laura Renfro of Phoenix, AZ. She also has nine grandchildren: Jared, Amber, Jordan, Haley, Shaylin and Sierra Renfro of Mesa, AZ, and Kaysen, Sawyer, and Daejen Butterfield of Gilbert, AZ.
