Victim hurt when car goes off road, down embankment

A Shafter teenager was injured Wednesday morning when  she lost control of her car  on Elk Hills Road and it went down an embankment.
Bianca Guadalupe Ramona Lencioni, 18, was on her way to Taft  about 10 a.m. when she lost control of her 2008 Nissan Sentra travelling north at 45 miles per hour on Elk Hills about a mile north of Skyline Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Jerry Knight said.
She allowed her car to drift off the side of the road, then overcorrected, going across both lanes and then off the east side of the roadway. ?She ended up 100 feet off the roadway and down an embankment.
Firefighters reported she extricated herself from the wreckage.
Lencioni was flown to Kern Medical Center for treatment of head, neck and back pain.
