Narcotics enforcement teams hit several area homes, seize drugs and paraphernalia

Seven Taft residents were arrested in a drug sweep conducted in here Friday.
At approximately 7:20 a.m., the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (K-NET) and the California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (Cal-MMET), executed two search warrants at 203 Jackson St. and 608 Kern St.
Four parole or probation searches were also conducted at 301 ‘A’ St., 700 Fillmore St.,  7001/2 Fillmore St., and 605 1/2 Tyler St.
During these investigations, seven  adults were arrested for various narcotics violations.  Officers  seized approximately 3.7 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine glass smoking pipes and hypodermic syringes), unauthorized prescription medication, lost/stolen credit card, and evidence consistent with narcotic sales/trafficking, were located and seized.
The crystal methamphetamine seized has an estimated street value of $370.00
As a result of these investigations, three adult males and four adult females were arrested.
They are identified as:
•36 year old Amber Foster: Charged with H&S 11377-Possession of controlled substance, H&S 11378-Possession of a controlled substance for sales,  H&S 11364-Possession of drug paraphernalia, and H&S 11357(b)-Possess marijuana (less than one ounce)
•41 year old James Casteel: Charged with H&S 11550(a)-Under the influence of a controlled substance
•32 year old Eddie Ray Thompson: Charged with H&S 11550(a)-Under the influence of a controlled substance and PC 496-Possession of stolen property,  H&S 11364-Possession of drug paraphernalia, H&S 11350-Possession of unauthorized prescription medication, and  H&S 11357(b)-Possess marijuana (less than one ounce)
•28 year old Tianna Marie Robey: Charged with, H&S 11550(a)-Under the influence of a controlled substance, and PC 148(a)(1)-Resist, delay Peace Officer
•28 year old Ryan Scott Johansen: Charged with, H&S 11550(a)-Under the influence of a controlled substance, and PC 148(a)(1)-Resist, delay Peace Officer
•54 year old Ruth Ann Kendrick: Charged with, H&S 11550(a)-Under the influence of a controlled substance
•48 year old Leo Seavedra: Arrested on a five misdemeanor warrants.
Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (KNET) is a multi-jurisdictional narcotic unit conducting narcotic investigations throughout Kern County.  Taft Police Department has an officer assigned to KNET.
