TC Cougar Room hosting everything from reptiles and magic to puppets and talent show

 Special events  will be taking place on Thursdays at 2 p.m. in the Taft College Cougar Room for the Kern County Library's 2011 Summer Reading Program, “One World, Many Stories."
The programs start next week and include Roaming Reptiles, June 23; Taft Kids and Teens Have Talent 2!, June 30 (Sign-up deadline is Saturday, June 25 at 5 p.m.); Omnipresent Puppet Theater, July 7; The Magic of Christopher Lopez, July 14; and Taft Kids and Teens Have Talent 2! Finals, July 21.
Talent show participants will compete for $100 in both Kids and Teens categories.  On June 30, the audience will vote for their top 3 favorites in each age group.  At the finals on July 21, our judges will choose the winners.
The runners-up will each receive $25.00.  All of these programs are free, fun and appropriate for all ages.  They are jointly sponsored by the Kern County Library and the Taft College Library.
