Expensive controllers being stolen from West Side Oilfields

Oilfields on the Westside have been hit hard by thefts of expensive computer equipment and the Kern County Sheriff's Office and oil industry are trying to catch the people responsible.
The Kern County oil community has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for these thefts of Allen Bradley Programmable Controller (PLC) units, Sheriff's spokesman Raymond Pruitt said Friday.
The Sheriff’s  Rural Crime Unit  has released photographs of suspects in the thefts  to help seek information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the thefts of  the controller units.
These thefts have been ongoing in the Taft oilfields since January of this year. To date, the suspect or suspects are responsible for over $600,000 in stolen PLC units.
