All proceeds help animals in the Taft area. It all starts at 9 a.m. Saturday

Bring your pets and bring the kids for a day of fun in the outdoor amphitheater at Sixth and Main right next to Rails to Trails and the Oilworker Monument Saturday morning.
That's where Unity Thrift Animal rescue will be holding its first Taft Trails for Paws event on Saturday.
The fun starts at 9 a.m. and the event is sponsored by the taft Lions Club
Animals will be the star of the show and there will be  pet contests, including an owner lookalike contest, plus best trick and best costume plus a pet for mayor contest (entry forms are available at the Midway Driller offices, 800 Center St.).
All entry fees from the contests go to help local animals in need
There will also be pet adoptions, raffles, vendors food and games for the entire family.
