Cherise Strong finishes second in two different races
It may have been the last Saturday meet for a couple of weeks but for several Tiger Sharks swimmers it was also a successful day as they competed in a meet hosted by Rio Bravo Greeley.
Cherise Strong had the best results of the day for the Tiger Sharks by finishing second in the nine year old girls 50-yard backstroke with a time of 45.38 and the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 51.31.
Strong also finished fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 39.94.
Brooke Ashmore joined the list by finishing second in the seven year old girls 25-yard backstroke with a time of 25.63. Rio Bravo Greeley’s Grace Weldin was first with a time of of 23.93. Ashmore also had a third place finish in the 50-yard freestyle where she had a time of 51.36.
Presley Evans had a second place finish in the seven year old girls 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 29.53. Evans also came in third in the 25-yard freestyle with a time of 22.00. Rio Bravo Greeley’s Rese Hodgson won the race with a time of 20.91.
Evans had a fifth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 52.15.
Ruby Stith’s highest placement came in the 13-year old girls 50-yard breaststroke where she finished third with a time of 44.66. Rio Bravo Greeley’s Caroline Stone edged our Stith for second with a time of 44.04.
Stith also had a pair of fourth place results starting with a tie with Stone in the 100-yard IM. Both swimmers had a time of 1:30.22. Stith’s second fourth place finish took place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 33.97.
Austin Hudgens continued the string of fourth place results by finishing fourth in the eight year old boys 25-yard backstroke with a time of 24.46. Presley Golling finished one spot back with a time of 25.84. Hudgens also finished fifth in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 27.88.
Golling had a fifth place finish in the 100-yard IM with a time of 2:07.56.
Taft willl return to action Tuesday when they compete in a B meet.
