Hand grenade, $1,763 also seized in raid on Ford City home
Wednesday at approximately 7 a.m., the Kern Narcotics Enforcement Team (K-NET) and the Taft Police Department, executed a narcotics search warrant at 1141/2 Buchanan St. in Taft
During this investigation two adults were arrested for multiple narcotics violations and penal code violations.
They are identified as 39 year old Christopher Barry Soles and 38 year old Deanna Gail Spell.
As officer’s conducted their search of the residence, they discovered approximately six ounces (175 grams) of suspected methamphetamine, less than an ounce of marijuana, a hand grenade, $1,763.00 in U.S. currency, and evidence consistent with narcotic sales/trafficking, KCSO Bomb Squad seized the hand grenade.
The methamphetamine seized has an estimated street value of $17,500
The $1,7630 was seized as asset forfeiture.
As a result of this investigation, two adults were taken into custody and booked into the Taft Police Department Jail.
Soles was charged with obsession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sales, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession marijuana (Less than one ounce) and possession of military hand grenade
Spell was charged with charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sales, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana (Less than one ounce) and possession military hand grenade.
