KCFD, BLM contain fires in 90 minutes

The three fires on Elk Hills Tuesday evening burned a total of 21 acres, the Kern County Fire Department reported.
The fires were reported just before 6 p.m. on the East Side of Elk Hills Road and south of Skyline Road.
All three were contained in about 90 minutes.
They were caused by downed power lines.
KCFD crews from four Westside stations responded to the fire along with BLM firefighters.
