Victim died when truck was struck by big rigs

The Kern County Sheriff-Coroner identified the person killed in a crash on Highway 166 at Cerro Noroeste Road Monday as 68-year-old Taft resident Edward LeRoy Jones.
Jones was the driver of a pickup that pulled into the path of a tractor trailer and was struck broadside, the California Highway Patrol said. The pickup and big rig were then hit by another truck.
The drivers of the two big rigs were not identified.
The coroner also said a dog was found dead in Jones' pickup.
