Chance of frost for early Friday, Saturday
A dry weather system is expected to move through the area later this week, bringing some gusty winds and a chance at the first frosts of the season by week's end.
No rain is expected in the short term, but the windy weather will keep the fog out of the picture for a few days starting at midweek.
Highs Monday and Tuesday will stay in the mid to low 60s, depending on cloud cover and fog, with lows around 40.
The front will move through late Wednesday, scouring out the fog and dropping afternoon highs into the 50s.
Overnight lows will fall into the lower 30s with a chance of a light frost Friday and Saturday mornings.
It is not yet known if the winds will blow hard enough to cause driving problems.
No hard freeze is expected, the National Weather Service said.
The drier air will eliminate most of the fog problems for travelers though the weekend at least.
