RCIU investigatng thefts all over the area
From 25 Hill north through the McKittrick area to the Lost Hills Oilfields, thieves haves stolen everything from flanges to drilling tools.
The Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investiation Unit is seeking the public's help in solving the following thefts:
•Drilling rig tools were stolen from two service vehicles while parked in a secure yard located near 15255 Lost Hills Road. The tools are further described as: Two Obannon/SB ¾ - 7/8 rod elevators, serial #’s S-719 and T-2374, four Obannon/SB 1” rod elevators, serial #’s W-1529, W-1527 and two with no serial numbers, one OCM/LLD 2 7/8” tubing elevator, serial #JW394-04, one BJ/LLD 3 ½” tubing elevator, one Rigid black/orange 36” pipe wrench, and one Rigid black/orange 18” pipe wrench. •Three 3” flange gate valves and miscellaneous 2” to 3” pipe fittings were stolen from oil field property located on 25 Hill Road. If you have any information regarding this investigation please contact Winn.

•Unknown suspects forced entry into two metal buildings located in the 2000 block of Reserve Road. A Fredrich/KS15L10B white window air conditioner, serial #LGKR05303, was reported stolen. Contact Winn if you have any information regarding this case. Refer to case #SR12-03582.
•A spool of copper wire was reported stolen from a secure storage yard located in the 3600 block of Reward Road.
