A funeral service was held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Taft on Tuesday, April 3, 201.

Donna Mae Francis was born on the 11th of  March, 1947 in Orland, Glenn County, California to Owen and Marjorie (Craytor) Rees and passed away at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, California on the 1st of April, 2012.  She was good at anything she tried to do.  As a youth she was involved with Junior Riders and Gymkana, with her horse, Dusty.  She was also involved with band in high school playing the drums, the string bass, the violin and the piano.  She also was involved in building displays for state and county fairs.  She participated in the El Dorado County Wagon Train.  She was a loving wife and mother.  She raised her two daughters in Placerville where she was involved in many different projects.  She also enjoyed being a beautician for many years and a real estate agent, sometimes both at the same time.  She enjoyed sewing, crafts and especially painting.  She was easy to get along with and definitely a free spirit willing to try new things.  After years of living  in the Placerville area, she upped and moved to New Mexico, then back to the deserts of California, then to the tropical beaches of Florida and finally to Taft.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie and step-father, William Oviatt; her sister, Bonnie; and her second husband, Willie Francis.  She is survived by her husband, Ralph Lee; daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Tod Waller and Sarah and Mark Lamberson; her grandchildren, Emma and Jeffery Waller and Alex Toenjes and Willow Lamberson.  She is also survived by her father, Owen Rees; her sister and her husband, Ann and Guy Lingo; a brother, Danny Rees; and step-sisters, Connie Lamorie and Rose Imhoff.  A funeral service was held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Taft on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. led by Fr.
