Donation will help fund Critical Care Access program

Sharon and Jerry Reich have always been big supporters of the  Soroptimist International Club of Taft's Critical Care Access program, which provides financial aid for transportation for Taft residents who have to travel to Bakersfield for kidney dialysis, chemotherapy and other treatments.
Tuesday,  the Soroptimists were the recipients of a huge gift from the Reichs.
Soroptimist Jamie Frye presented  Club Vice President Becky Ashcraft a check for $10,000 on behalf of  the Reichs.
Lodema Hatch put it this way: “Once again Sharon and Jerry Reich of Brown and Reich in Taft have knocked the socks off the members of Soroptimist of Taft International.”
All of the money goes to Critical Care Transportation Project, the Taft club's signature project. This project provides gas, tires, batteries, and or bus tickets when needed upon approval  of authorized participation for those needing to get to Bakersfield for ongoing medical care.
The project has now raised $110,000 in 10 years though donations and community support, Hatch said.
