December 4th, 1936 – April 11th, 2012

Dick Oxford left us on April 11th, 2012 due to a bad fall after fighting for several days to stay with us. His parents were Rex and Esther Oxford. The older brother of Yvonne Queen, Carol Siemon and Sandra Graham. He was a devoted loving husband to his wife, Margaret Oxford and family. Dick worked in the oilfields and construction in his younger years, after leaving the government Nevada test site , his dream was to own a motorcycle shop. In 1974 he had his shop, Oxfords Harley Davidson in Taft. In 1978 he moved back to his beloved Bakersfield and opened the shop on California Avenue he would have remained till death do they part. His only hobby was motorcycles, all he needed was his customers, friends and family. In1969 he won the National Hillclimb and many more awards. He leaves behind  his sons Tony oxford and wife Shelia, Robert Oxford and wife Denise, daughter Lisa Oxford and Matt Schweitzer. grand children, Sean, Lainee, Iycsis, Evie, Noeli, Brandon and Amy. Great grand children Samantha, twins, Ethan and Katlyen, and little Lexi. Sister Yvonne Queen, Sandra Graham and husband Jerry, Carol Siemon. Nieces, nephews, and families Anthony Graham, Kevin Warnock, Eric, Desiree and Sheldon, aunts, many cousins, adopted son Shawn Joncoaltz and Jessica and his many friends and customers.
