A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. for Lois Juanita Rogers, 82. Rev. Tom White, pastor of Cuyama Assembly of God, will officiate. Mrs. Rogers was born in Tulsa County, Oklahoma on September 11, 1929 and passed away in Bakersfield on April 29, 2012. She has lived in Kern County for the past 77 years. She enjoyed raising a large garden with her husband. She also enjoyed accompanying him on fishing and camping trips. One of the great joys in Mrs. Rogers' life was the time she spent at family gatherings and barbecues, especially the time spent playing cards with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Buddy Rogers, in 1989. Mrs. Rogers' survivors include her sister, Vera Fields of Lathrop; her children, Jim and Lena Rogers of Lodi, Robert and Juliana Rogers of Lodi, Janet and Bill Conway of Bakersfield and Sharon and Jerry Baldwin of Taft; her grandchildren,, Jeff Rogers, Jennifer and Jesse Lewallen, Kevin Rogers, Cory Rogers, Scott Smith, Caryn and Joe Garza, Mike Conway, Scott Conway, Ricky Easley, Julie Dunham, Nicholas and Taucia Baldwin and Christine and Shane Higgins. Mrs. Rogers is also survived by her 19 great grandchildren. No visitation hours are scheduled and the services are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
