'Cats get first round bye, will host  Div. IV game Friday. Baseball team seeded No. 9, will travel to Delano Tuesday

The road to the championship will take two competely different paths for the Taft baseball and softball teams when they kick off the Division IV playoffs this week.
Taft's softball team, which finished an undefeated league season while going 27-2-2 overall, got the No.1 seed in the Division IV bracket. If they continue to win, the Lady Wildcats will host a playoff game through the championship game.
As a result of the seed, Taft will get a bye in the first round and will host the winner of the No.9 Fresno-No.8 Mira Monte Friday.
While Taft's baseball team went 17-6 overall and 8-2 in the South Sequoia League, they will be hitting the road as the No.9 seed. They will take on the No.8 seed Delano Tuesday.
If they win they will face No.1 seed Kerman Thursday.
