Warrant issued fo her arrest. Co-defendant got 4 year prison term
A Taft woman arrested in March after a pursuit in a stolen vehicle is being sought by aw enforcement after she failed to appear for her sentencing Thursday.
Ashley Nicole Matthews, 19 was scheduled to be sentenced for her part in the theft of a car from the 400 block of North Lincoln and and leading police on a high-speed chase out Petroleum Club Road and cadet Road on March 22.
Matthews had pleaded no contest to vehicle theft and felony evading arrest charges.
She was also scheduled to be sentenced on drug charges stemming from a separate case.
A warrant has bee issued for her arrest.
She had been free on $50,000 bond in the theft case but that bond is now forfeit.
A co-defendant in the auto theft case, David Frank Romandia Jr., 25, received a four year prison sentence.
