A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. for Kim Manuz, 53. Rev. Joey Pittman, pastor of New Hope A Place to Connect, will officiate the service. Following the interment a reception will be held in the Taft Moose Lodge. Kim was born in Aurora, Illinois on July 6, 1958 and passed away at her home in Taft on June 25, 2012. She came to Taft in 1989 and in 1994 became a member of the Taft Moose Lodge and had many good times camping out at the Moose Lodge parking lot. Among her interests were listening to music, dancing and camping. She also enjoyed karaoke, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. Kim lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Roach and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gasper and Terry Manuz. Kim is survived by her husband of 22 years, Larry Manuz of Taft; her children and their spouses, Jamie and Tom Wilson of Bakersfield, Brandon and Anita Norman, Joey and Sonia Manuz and Brian and Ehrissa Manuz all of Taft; her grandchildren, Cole Wilson and Brynnlee Manuz; her mother, Paula Roach; her sisters and brothers and their spouses, Kelly and Kenny Ward, Steve and Sharon Roach and Paul, Bill and Mike Roach; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families, Debbie Turner, Donald and Vanessa Manuz and Mark and Janice Manuz; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
