Eugene Richard Brittain, known as Gravy to his friends, has gone to be with our Father in heaven on July 10, 2012. Gene was born in Arizona on January 10, 1938 to Garland and Jewel Brittain. Gene went into the Navy at age 17 for four years and was stationed in San Diego on the USS Hancock. Gene went to heaven to be with the Lord, his parents, his brother, and his wife Pat (Trish) of 46 years; his life has never been the same without her. Gene is survived by his brother, Bill Brittain, and his sister, Evelen; his three daughters, Sheryl Miller of Arroyo Grande, Anita and Jim Baker of Taft, and Lynn and Greg Brooks of Bakersfield; his grandchildren, Austin, Lane, Courtney, Macy, Brittainy, Tricia, and Clay; and his great grandbabies, Destiny, Everett, Jamesie, Hailey, and Piper. May you rest in peace and with the Lord and all your loved ones. The family would like to send a special thank you to Optimal Hospice. At Gene's request, a private service will be held at a later date. To convey online condolences please visit www.EricksonAndBrown.com.
