The home side fans at Taft High's Martin Memorial Stadium is sporting a new coat of paint and will get new seats as well.
Two shades of blue replace the old gray paint job that was peeling.
Maintenance and operations manager Gary Morris said new skid-resistant material also was added to the walkways and stairs.
On Monday, crews will begin bolting down new aluminum seats, he said.
The old ones were removed.
"They originally were wooden and were later covered with counter vinyl," he said. "We're replacing those with aluminum."
The new seating will be in place for the pre-season scrimmage Aug. 17 against Porterville High School.
