She passed into eternal life surrounded by her family on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Bakersfield. Soledad, or “Chole,” worked and gave tirelessly to her family. She settled in Bakersfield with her husband and two oldest children in 1985. After taking some time to adjust, she began working in agricultural labor where she met many of her wonderful friends. Her friends remember her for her honesty, laughter and beautiful smile. After nearly a decade of hard labor she took time off to dedicate herself to the care of her very special youngest child. During times of hardship she turned to her close friends and family, all the while giving back with sensitivity and warmth to those around her. She also found great support and unmatched peace in her relationship with God. Even through very difficult challenges, her admirable strength endured. She is survived by her husband, Jose Luis; sons, Jose and Carlos; daughters, Silvia and Lizbeth, her mother and father; and siblings, Consuelo, Francisco, Celia and Clara.
