A Taft Union High football player was examined and released at a Kings County hospital after suffering a neck injury during a game in Corcoran Friday night.
Jeremy Wilmer went down with the injury during the junior varsity game but came home that night after a trip to the hospital.
“He's fine,” Athletic Director Marsha Eubank said.
Wilmer is a freshman lineman for the JV team.
The game was held up while an ambulance was summoned.
Corcoran High school had a physician at the game, Eubanks said, but no ambulance standing by.
