A good friend, brother, father, and uncle left us on the morning of September 26. Junior Bush, as he was known to friends, passed from this life into the next. Bill was born November 24, 1925 in Maricopa, CA and was raised locally. He was one of the best oilfield truck drivers ever and was a master at tailboarding heavy loads onto his truck. Bill also could move extremely heavy loads, which cranes would have difficulty with, with a super-heavy duty A-frame, and he did those jobs safely. Bill and his wife, Wanda, operated the Sunset Antiques for many years after he retired from driving truck. Together they enjoyed going to swap meets all over central and southern California. Bill was a magician at woodworking and applied his magic to restoring antique pieces of furniture. He was a very kind, generous and gentle person. We will say our “good byes” at a graveside service on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Panorama Drive and River Boulevard, in Bakersfield. The service will be at 1100 am.
