Fort Preservation Society, Alpha House serving up the family favorite this week and next
Taft is getting two chances in the coming days for first-rate spaghetti dinners and the chance to contribute to good causes at the same time
Alpha House and the Fort Preservation Society are hosting spaghetti dinners for the next two Thursdays. The Fort is first up on Oct. 11 with a dinner and dessert auction in the Fort auditorium, 915 N. Tenth Street.
Admission fee is just $12 or you can get a free spaghetti dinner in exchange for a dessert to be auctioned off. You do have to RSVP so the Fort Preservation Society knows how many dinners to prepare. Just call 765-7371
Fort Preservation Society Executive Director Edith Laurin is promising another great evening at the Fort.
"The event will be a fun filled evening with a great meal, wonderful desserts to be auctioned, prizes to be awarded for the most luscious dessert and the most desserts purchased," she said. "As always, the best part of the evening will be fun and laughter with friends!"
A week later, Alpha House holding another Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 631 North St.
Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.
The cost is just $5 a plate dine in or take out. spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert are included.
All pre-sale tickets bought will be entered in a drawing to win either a $25 gift certificate to Frugatti's or Uricchio's.
There will also be a raffle for a Italian gift basket with gift certificates to Rosa's Italian Restaurant and Sorella Italian Restaurant for a total value of over $60.
