Cougars win in three sets at home

A balanced approach utilizing most of the roster guided Taft College to a Central Valley Conference volleyball sweep over visiting West Hills College Friday in the Cougar Sports Center.

The Cougars improved to 10-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference after breezing past the Falcons 25-13, 25-18, 25-13.

“We played a little slow,” was head coach Kanoe Bandy’s analysis.  “We were a little out of sorts.  It was frustrating.”

She used her bench liberally.

“The good thing is, this week we were able to give everyone some conference game experience.”

The Cougars look to stay on the victory track.  It marked the second consecutive conference win after two tough five-set losses to Fresno and Porterville.
