Summer finally gave way to fall a week ago, and now we have even cooler weather with a chance of showers in the forecast for the next couple of days.
A low pressure system is slowly sliding down the California coast and is expected to move inland over Southern California by Thursday night, brining a slight chance of showers or even a thundershower to the Southern San Joaquin Valley starting Wednesday evening and continuing through Thursday afternoon and evening.
Chance of rain is just 20 percent, though.
Daytime highs will stay in the mid to low 70s through Thursday before a warming trend starts as the low pressure system moves out.
The weekend will see highs warming back into the 80s and daytime highs will be into the mid to upper 80s by early next week.
Overnight lows will be in the 50s to near 60.
