A parole search led to the seizure of more than 9 grams of methamphetamine, two ounces of marijuana and led to a parolee going back to jail on drug dealing charges.
A California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole officer, accompanied by Kern County Sheriff's deputies, went to the home of Richard Delatore at an apartment in the 200 block of Main Street Tuesday afternoon.
During a search, the officers located as plastic contained with 9.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine under the kitchen sink and 58.7 grams – nearly two ounces – of marijuana hidden in a stereo speaker, Sgt. Martin Downs said.
Deputies also found a small amount of marijuana on Delatorre.
He is being held on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana for sale and a no-bail parole hold.
