Taft improves to 2-1 in SSL and 3-4 overall

Steve Gee scored six touchdowns as Taft Union School romped to a 50-8 win over Cesar Chavez High School Friday night at Martin Memorial Stadium.

The Wildcats (now 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the South Sequoia League) dominated the game from the outset, turning two first quarter Chavez turnovers into touchdowns on their way to a 43-0 halftime lead.
Gee scored 3 times in the first half on runs of 20, 15 and 50 yards. All came on the same play – an end-around.

He also caught 2 second quarter touchdown passes from Vaughan Richardson and one more in the third period.

Eddie Romo had the other TUHS score.
