Aera to make presentation on November

Ten Taft City School District teachers will be awarded grants from AERA Energy at a ceremony to be held next month.
The grants are from Aera Energy and are awarded to individual teachers who applied for funding for specific classroom projects.
Aera will make a formal presentation of the grants on Nov. 14 in the district's Education Center.
The winners, amounts and project include:
Martha Novak, Parkview School transitional kindergarten, $500 for a sand and water table with tools;
Karnese Owens, Roosevelt School, $500 for a kindergarten Reading Hut library;
Melinda Turner, Parkview, $269 for Kindergarten Thespians;
Candy Knost and Terri Melton, Lincoln Junior High, $500 for high interest books for sixth, seventh and eighth graders;
Dan Griffith, Taft Primary, $500 for kindergarten Leap Pads for Learning;
Marty Beebe, Parkview, $500 for second grade Reading for Success;
Linda Hannum, Taft Primary, $500 for third grade classroom library for home reading and;
Julie Miller and Scott Holbrook, Taft Primary, $1,100 for a document camera for fourth grade projects.
