The Taft varsity girls tennis team drew the No.1 seed in the CIF Central Section Div. IV bracket and will open the playoffs they host No.8 seed Hanford Tuesday.
If they win the Lady Wildcats will face the winner of the No.4 Woodlake-No.5 Selma matchup. Also in the playoff mix is fellow South Sequoia League opponent Wasco, who got the No.6 seed. They will take on No.3 Strathmore. The winner will play the winner of the No.7-No.2 Liberty Madera Ranchos match.
Taft was not the only team from the SSL to get a No.1 seed. Bakersfield Christian got the No.1 seed in the Division III bracket. They received a bye and will face the winner of the No.4 Yosemite-No.5 Madera South winner.
The match begins at 4 pm.
