The heat is over, and a sharp change in the weather is about to hit.
There probably won't be too much rain on the west side, but a cold front will lower temperatures by at least 10 degrees by Thursday and much, much lower by the weekend.
The front will also bring some gusty winds and a chance of blowing dust in the area before a chance of cold showers comes into the area by Friday.
After highs in the mid 80s for the first three days of the work week, Thursday's high is expected to get up to just the low 70s with some blowing dust possible after 4 p.m.
Then temperatures will drop even further.
Friday's high will be a chilly 57 with an overnight low of 41 and a high of 58 on Saturday.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers, tapering off to 30 percent Friday night.
Temperatures will stay chilly through the early part of next week with highs in the low to mid 60s and overnight lows in the low 40s.
