A young woman attending a large rave party in a remote area near Mt. Pinos was found safe after being lost in the wilderness over the weekend.
The search took place in the area of Toad Springs and Qatal Canyon south of Cerro Noroeste Road near the Kern-Venturas County border.
The Kern County Sheriff's office reported the woman, identified as Alissa Goldman, 19, of Ventura was found about 7 a.m. Monday.
The search for the woman started on Sunday after the Kern County Sheriff's communications center in Bakersfield received a 911 call from Goldman's cell phone.
Goldman told dispatchers she had been attending a rave party in the mountainous area and wandered off and became lost.
The Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team joined deputies in a search that started about 5 p.m. and continued through the night.
Finally, after a 14-hour search, Goldman was found wandering just inside the Ventura County line and rescued safely.
The KCSO said the rave party started Saturday night and continued into the day Sunday with more than 200 people attending.
