One injured in crash in Valley Acres

One person was injured in a two-car collision in Valley Acres Tuesday morning.

The crash involved a Pontiac and a Toyota on Highway 119 at Orange Street.

The driver of the Pontiac, a woman, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a Bakersfield hospital for treatment.

The driver of the other car declined medical aid.

Traffic was blocked for a time, but cars were able to get through on the shoulder.

The identities of the people involved were not immediately available.
