Explosion, fire reported at Chevron facility in Lost Hills

Kern County firefighters are responding to an explosion and fire at a Chevron facility in Lost Hills.

Numerous KCFD engines, a ladder truck and a hazardous materials team  were dispatched to the incident.

The explosion was reported about 2 p.m.

Kern County fire dispatchers reported receiving multiple calls of a large explosion.

There were no injuries according to initial reports from the scene, but there was a fire burning at the facility, located west of Lost Hills Road just south of the town of Lost Hills.
