A couple of days after facing South, the Taft varsity girls basketball team squared off against them again with the same results following a 33-11 victory over the Lady Rebels Friday in the first game of the Taft High basketball tournament.
Taft provided all of the scoring in the seven minute first quarter by scoring 10 points with Kennedy Kunce and Neher teaming up for eight of the points. Neither team scored much in the second quarter with the Lady Wildcats edging out South 4-3.
The Lady Wildcats picked up the scoring with 13 points in the third quarter while the defense limited South to two points. Taft wrapped up their total with six in the final quarter with South scoring six.
Taft played one more game tonight. Taft wraps up the Wildcat tournament Saturday with games at 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
