TMW suspect caught in attic ordered to stand trial
- Horton bound over on burglary, drug charges
The Taft's Most Wanted suspect found hiding in the attic of a Ford City home last month has been ordered to stand trial on drug and burglary and possession of stolen property charges.
Ethan Horton, 24, is scheduled to be arraigned in Kern County Superior Court in Bakersfield on Dec. 18.
He was bound over for trial at a preliminary hearing in Taft on Monday.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Horton was found in a home on at 500 Jackson St. on Nov. 24.
Kern County Sheriff's deputies went to the home on a tip and were about to search it under probation terms, according to reports.
A woman answered the door and told the officers Horton was not at the home, but they entered and found him hiding in the attic .
The woman was also arrested.
Horton was wanted on several warrants and is being held without bail in the sheriff's Lerdo Facility.
