Kern County Sheriff's RCIU investigating several new crimes. Stolen truck recovered.
The Kern County sheriff's Rural Crimes Unit is investigating severl more thefts in the Westside oilfields.

•Nine brown rectangular counter weights were stolen from an oil pump located in the area of Highway 119 and Harrison Street. Refer to case #SR12-32671.
•A white 1999 GMC pickup was stolen from a secure storage yard located near Highway 33 and Henry Road. The vehicle was recovered a few days later by the California Highway Patrol near Shale Road and Mocal Road. Prior to leaving the storage yard the unknown suspects used the truck to damage 77’ of chain link fencing. Refer to case #SR12-33043.
•Unknown suspect stole approximately $3,100 worth of scrap metal from an oil field job site located in the area of Gardner Field Road and Gas Company Road. Refer to case #SR12-33713.
